To keep it short, the idea of using DriverKit to write userspace drivers for abandoned USB devices in macOS Catalina has piqued my interest, but having been an app developer my entire career, I’ve never written a driver or anything remotely resembling one. I would imagine there's a lot to learn even before getting into the specifics of DriverKit (which from a layman's perspective looks to be similar to traditional kernelspace driver development). Does anybody have a rough path and/or resources they can recommend for learning driver development for those coming from higher level backgrounds?
